Job description

We’re looking for a lead frontend developer to join our team; someone who has had years of experience in React, has seen its evolution, and understands not just how to code but how to build and architect systems using it. We’re looking for someone who has leadership tendencies, who’s passionate and driven, gets stuff done, and isn’t afraid to ask for help. Our development process has been honed through exploring various flavours of agile and we believe that our way of working helps us get the right things done at the right time.


The Innovation team

We aim to discover problems and advance new ideas and ways to improve the home services industry in different aspects: product, service, profitability, experience, etc. Doing that involves a lot of experimentation, creativity, risk-taking, and embracing uncertainty.

We're a cross-functional team of people with different disciplines: Tech, Product, UX, Research, Content, and Data. A group of agile coaches supports us whenever we need them.


Software development at the Innovation team

We believe that our ways of working enable us to get the right things done at the right time. With that premise, we produce high-quality, working, and tested code that keeps us happy and productive. We practice DDD, CI, and CD, and our development process is rooted in the Agile, Kanban, and Lean principles.

We have different codebases in GitHub and GitLab and strive to keep the technology stack as updated and stable as possible. In our technology stack, you will find:

  • ReactJS, NextJS, ExpressJS, Apollo Client, CSS-in-JS, Webpack;

  • PHP, Symfony, Doctrine, PHPUnit, PHPStan, Deptrac, Psalm, PHP-CS-Fixer;

  • MySQL, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis;

  • REST, GraphQL;

  • Ports and Adapters, SOLID, Event Sourcing, CQRS;

  • Docker, Kubernetes, HELM, AWS Lambda.

Job requirements

  • Expert understanding of ReactJS and supporting tools

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong experience of building resilient architecture

  • Strong understanding of testing strategy

  • Proven experience in taking ownership and making clear decisions aligning to organizational goals

  • TypeScript experience is a strong plus

  • Experience with React and Symfony integration is a plus

Do you offer remote work?

You need to already be based in one of our office locations or be willing to relocate to one of them.

We have a hybrid-work policy, which means that it’s up to you whether you prefer to work onsite or feel more comfortable working from home. However, in some roles, we might be looking for people living in the same region. You can have a look at what locations we are active in via the button below.

Do you offer a relocation package and visa sponsorship?

Yes and yes.

For applicants relocating to our German or Dutch offices, we provide financial relocation assistance and step-by-step guidance to support you in your relocation journey.

We also provide visa sponsorship for our German and Dutch offices. Currently, visa sponsorship for the French office is not possible.

What does an interviewing process generally look like?

Our interviewing processes can slightly differ depending on the department. The three things that are consistent across every process are a talk with the hiring manager in the early phase of the process, a team interview in the middle, and a culture interview at a later phase of the process.
