Job description

In this role, you will get to develop our mobile applications, frontend components, and interactions in state-of-the-art technologies for our platform, which is used across our Instapro Group of companies and positively impacts countless homeowners and tradespeople.

The shortlisting team is at the core of the action in the Instapro platform trying to ensure our tradespeople have the best chance at a shortlist leading to being hired for the job posted. You get to work with a team of frontend, backend & mobile engineers as well as cross-functional experts from Product and UX in the team.

Your role includes the following:

- Design, implement and release our mobile apps on iOS and Android

- Drive improvements to the architectural development of our apps

- Collaborate effectively with the team to deliver high-quality solutions for our users

- Contribute to, maintain, and adhere to mobile & front-end development quality standards and best practices together with other developers

- Be proactive in suggesting improvements, ideas, solutions and offer help

- Guide and support other engineers in their growth

- Share your knowledge and experience with others and help them grow

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing web applications with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • 4+ years of experience of developing & releasing mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native and WebViews
  • 2+ years of experience with ReactJS and its best practices
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience with CI/CD and test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Jest, Cypress, Gitlab CI/CD)
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and front-end application architecture and experience applying it in practice
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Nice to have: experience with NextJS, GraphQL, back-end development, Design systems, Docker, Kubernetes

Do you offer remote work?

You need to already be based in one of our office locations or be willing to relocate to one of them.

We have a hybrid-work policy, which means that it’s up to you whether you prefer to work onsite or feel more comfortable working from home. However, in some roles, we might be looking for people living in the same region. You can have a look at what locations we are active in via the button below.

Do you offer a relocation package and visa sponsorship?

Yes and yes.

For applicants relocating to our German or Dutch offices, we provide financial relocation assistance and step-by-step guidance to support you in your relocation journey.

We also provide visa sponsorship for our German and Dutch offices. Currently, visa sponsorship for the French office is not possible.

What does an interviewing process generally look like?

Our interviewing processes can slightly differ depending on the department.
