Job description

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer, a design system specialist, who’s a passionate advocate for the voice of the customer and can foster user-centered design principles in the organization.


You will be part of an enabling cross-functional team, working closely with a product manager, a UX designer and engineers. You will play a key role in creating an exceptional and consistent user experience through the design system by being hands-on in creating new components and patterns as well as providing guidance to product teams to help them adopt and contribute to it.


UX is a key part of the company vision that shapes the future of how our customers, homeowners and Tradespeople, interact with our products to help crack the code in one of the last big industries to become digital-first.


Your role includes the following:

  • Structure, improve, contribute to and expand our Design System for web and app interfaces

  • Assess the design system and establish guidelines and design standards for a scalable, usable, accessible and consistent Design System

  • Collaborate with product teams providing guidance/feedback and support to translate user needs into usable design solutions within the design system

  • Train UX designers in design system’s principles, usage and benefits and ensuring a successful integration into the product development workflow

  • Advocate for and promote the adoption and use of the design system within the organization

  • Improve the design to development collaboration process and documentation to facilitate the contribution

  • Work with stakeholders on translating brand identity into our product design

  • Stay up to date with industry standards, emerging technologies and design system practices, conducting research to enhance the design system

Job requirements

  • 4+ years of UX design experience for web and app environments

  • Strong expertise in extending and managing impactful design systems, including design principles, component and pattern libraries - with a portfolio that highlights design systems you have largely contributed to.

  • Deep knowledge of user-centered design principles and user interface design problem-solving based on strong evidence

  • You have an eye for detail and experience in creating clear design system documentation

  • You produce high-quality design deliverables, ensuring consistency and adherence to design system standards

  • Excellent creative and critical thinking skills, you enjoy continuous learning

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills. You enjoy supporting and working with cross-functional teams, leading design initiatives and influencing stakeholders.

  • You have mastered design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch to create and communicate design concepts and interactions.

  • Fluency in English so you can communicate easily with all of your colleagues

Do you offer remote work?

You need to already be based in one of our office locations or be willing to relocate to one of them.

We have a hybrid-work policy, which means that it’s up to you whether you prefer to work onsite or feel more comfortable working from home. However, in some roles, we might be looking for people living in the same region. You can have a look at what locations we are active in via the button below.

Do you offer a relocation package and visa sponsorship?

Yes and yes.

For applicants relocating to our German or Dutch offices, we provide financial relocation assistance and step-by-step guidance to support you in your relocation journey.

We also provide visa sponsorship for our German and Dutch offices. Currently, visa sponsorship for the French office is not possible.

What does an interviewing process generally look like?

Our interviewing processes can slightly differ depending on the department. The three things that are consistent across every process are a talk with the hiring manager in the early phase of the process, a team interview in the middle, and a culture interview at a later phase of the process.
