Job description

Open in all locations: France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom

As a Lead UX Researcher at the Instapro Group, you sit at the heart of aligning business goals with the user experience through building and executing user research. Your role will strongly influence discovery, roadmap generation and product design and development.

You will also be taking a key role in leading the UX research team, and are instrumental in shaping, growing and promoting user research within the company.

Your role includes the following:

  • Supporting multiple research initiatives either by directly conducting your own studies or guiding teams with theirs

  • Effectively sharing research findings and recommendations to a diverse set of stakeholders, advocating for and evangelising user-centered decisions

  • Developing a shared holistic understanding of our users, using multiple data sources to identify patterns and knowledge gaps - then designing research strategies to gain insights in these key areas

  • Responsible for optimal UX research ops to improve the efficiency of the UX research team- including processes, documentation, training, tooling, etc

  • Coaching and mentoring other researchers and designers to help grow our research skills as a whole

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX research and integrating new methodologies as appropriate to level-up the standard of the discipline

Job requirements

  • 6+ years of experience leading research initiatives in a product environment

  • Bachelor's degree in anthropology, human-computer interaction (HCI), human factors, psychology, sociology, a related field or equivalent practical experience

  • An outstanding track record as a research leader for experience and product strategies that achieve business results

  • Experience in researching the different stages of business and product development

  • Strong experience effectively using an extensive research toolkit as well as agile/lean methodologies

  • Fluent in one of our customer languages (German, French, Dutch, Italian) is a strong plus and also excellent English skills for internal communication

What does an interviewing process generally look like?
