MyBuilder has moved onto the Instapro Group technology platform, completing the process of merging the group’s building and home trades marketplaces onto one single platform with a single product. The changes to MyBuilder, which offers private and commercial customers in the UK a reliable way to access tradespeople with the skills they need, were rolled out in March.
MyBuilder joins the group’s other European businesses in Germany, Austria, France, Italy and the Netherlands on the Instapro platform.
The move also heralds the arrival of some improved features for users of MyBuilder, including:
Improved job search
MyBuilder now offers more options when it comes to filtering jobs, so users can see what’s relevant to them based on specific information.
New tools for building online reputation
The ability to add profile pictures and offer additional service information such as guarantees to their profiles will help tradespeople create a more compelling shop window for their business.
MyBuilder’s all-important feedback system is moving to the widely adopted star-rating scale which is more granular, meaning tradespeople will be more accurately rewarded for the great work they do. It will also be easier for tradespeople to request reviews once they have completed a job.
An enhanced mobile experience
The MyBuilder mobile app for tradespeople has had a complete overhaul and is now available on Android devices. Users can receive instant notifications for leads and shortlists, easily message prospects and customers and edit their profile, all within the app.
A new app for homeowners will make posting and managing jobs even easier. Job posters can add photos and information in an instant and keep things moving with notifications and chat, allowing them to message tradespeople wherever they are. Once the job’s done, they can leave a rating and review straight from the app.
A bold new look
A vibrant new colour scheme and logo, which was rolled out in the other Instapro markets in February, will help the MyBuilder services stand out, particularly on mobile, where customers increasingly post and manage their jobs.
Instapro Group CEO Jeff Kip comments: “Our vision is to become the most reliable way to hire and be hired for work in the building and home trades across Europe. A key piece of our strategy was to operate the European business with a single team, on a single platform, with a single product.
“Now all of our customers benefit from the product advancements that have driven the number of hires up materially over the last year, a consistent brand proposition, design and colour scheme, and a full selection of apps to hire and be hired in our marketplace.”
