Angi Inc and its affiliates (collectively "Angi", “we”, “our” or “us”) respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. This privacy policy describes the types of personal data we collect from and about individuals in connection with Angi’s recruitment activities. This includes both candidates who apply for roles with us and individuals whose personal data we collect from public sources or third parties in connection with potential job opportunities. It explains how we use that data, who we share it with, how we keep it secure and how you can access and control it.
The Angi affiliate responsible for your personal data is the entity you apply to or are contacted by regarding a potential role. Our affiliates are: Angi International B.V., HomeStars Inc., MyBuilder Limited, MyHammer GmbH, Travaux.com SARL and Werkspot B.V..
1. How we collect your personal data
We collect personal data in the following ways:
a) You apply for a job with us
If you apply directly through our careers site or via a recruiter or job board, we collect and process your personal data to manage the application process, including screening, assessment, interviews and offer decisions.
After the role has been filled, we will delete or anonymise your application data unless you give us consent to keep it in our talent pool for future roles.
We will not use your application data for any other purpose without your permission.
b) We source you from publicly available platforms
We may identify prospective candidates using professional networking sites (such as LinkedIn), based on the information you have made publicly available or based on the privacy preferences you have set on those platforms. We only access and use personal data that is publicly available or made available to us in line with your platform privacy settings.
If we contact you, it will be solely for recruitment purposes and, where required by law, only with your consent.
c) You are referred to us
If someone refers you for a role at Angi, we may process the basic contact or career details provided by the referrer. If we believe there may be a match, we will contact you to explain how we use your personal data and, where required, seek your consent.
d) Other sources
Our employees may provide feedback about your interview or suitability for a role as part of the recruitment process.
2. What personal data we collect
We may collect the following categories of data (to the extent permitted by law and relevant to the role):
name and contact details (email address, phone number, location, home address);
CV, cover letter, work history, qualifications and references;
salary expectations and availability;
interview notes and assessment results;
right to work documentation;
social media profile information (if sourced from public platforms);
any other information you voluntarily provide during the recruitment process.
You are not legally required to provide any personal data. However, if you choose not to provide certain information, we may not be able to consider you for a role.
3. Legal bases for processing
Depending on your location and the nature of the processing, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases (as permitted by applicable law):
processing necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you;
our legitimate interests in operating an effective recruitment process (unless overridden by your rights);
compliance with legal obligations (e.g. right to work checks);
your explicit consent, where required (e.g. retaining your data for future vacancies);
public interest grounds (e.g. equal opportunities monitoring);
other lawful bases under local law.
The legal basis we rely on may depend on whether you applied for a role or were contacted by us directly.
4. How we share your personal data
Angi operates internationally which may require us to share your personal data, for the purposes described in this privacy policy, with other Angi entities and third parties in countries outside the one where you are based. Where we do so, we ensure your data is protected in line with applicable laws.
We may share your personal data:
with other Angi affiliates involved in the recruitment process;
with service providers who support our recruitment operations and act on our behalf, including Greenhouse Software Inc., a US-based provider of our applicant tracking system;
with third-party providers of background checks, relocation support, tax or travel services and health and safety experts where relevant;
to comply with legal obligations, regulations or requests from public authorities, courts or regulators;
with legal or professional advisers as needed;
to protect Angi’s rights or the safety of others (for example, to prevent fraud or manage legal claims);
with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.
Some of these third parties are based outside the UK, EU or Canada. Where this is the case, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms approved under data protection law.
We do not sell or share your personal data for marketing or advertising purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the recruitment process and to comply with legal, regulatory or internal policy requirements.
If you are not selected, your data will be deleted or anonymised after a defined retention period, unless you consent to us keeping it for future job opportunities.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
access the personal data we hold about you;
request correction or deletion;
object to or restrict our processing;
withdraw consent where applicable;
request a copy of your data in a portable format;
