Instapro, part of Angi Inc., is seeking a Senior Product Designer for its Design Systems team.
Design at Instapro is a multi-disciplinary team of content strategists, product designers, and researchers. We are building an innovative, new home service that spans the digital and physical worlds—from the details on a screen, to in-person, human-to-human interactions, and everything in between. You will be charged with redefining expectations around what’s possible in the home industry by creating simple, seamless solutions to complex, previously unsolved problems.
We value exploration, iteration, and attention to detail. Our Designers are hands-on in every phase of a project lifecycle, from strategy and conception, through design and release. They have deep knowledge across product design - UX, UI, Design Systems, brand - and are comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team of product managers and engineers.
About the role:
This role is ideal for someone who is obsessed with design craft and UI polish, but also thinks systematically—someone who sees patterns, builds scalable components, and loves working closely with engineers to turn design decisions into robust, flexible front-end assets.
In this role, you'll shape how our product expresses our brand, support teams in using consistent, accessible components, and be a key force in operationalising design excellence across the organisation.
This role will join our team and elevate our digital experience. Highly successful Senior Product Designers at Instapro are:
What you’ll do:
Own and evolve the Instapro/Angi Design System, establishing scalable components, patterns, and interaction models that drive consistency across platforms
Maintain design documentation that clearly explains usage, rationale, and behaviour for tokens, components, and patterns
Define and manage design tokens and variables (e.g., colour, typography, spacing), ensuring they’re optimised for handoff and implementation
Collaborate with engineering to align on token structures, implementation strategies, and shared naming conventions across Figma and code
Contribute to and actively improve Instapro/Angi’s visual language, UI foundations, design frameworks, and accessibility standards
Build, test, and refine components and patterns that scale—from atomic elements to layout systems
Audit the product and existing component library to identify inconsistencies and opportunities for systematic improvements
Support and mentor other designers on how to best use the design system in their product work
Own and manage the design system backlog using tools like JIRA or similar—track progress, prioritise tasks, and coordinate assignments to ensure timely delivery and alignment across design and engineering teams
Leverage UX research and usability insights to inform system decisions and patterns
Stay current with best practices and innovations in design systems and front-end technologies
