Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced human resources manager to support our team in Amsterdam and help us build an aligned HR approach across our European businesses. Reporting to the VP Human Resources and working closely alongside our International HR team, this role offers the right candidate a chance to work on a wide range of issues and topics that will help shape our growing business. This is a hybrid working role with opportunities to split your time between working at home and at our brand new office located in central Amsterdam.


Your role includes the following:

  • Support the VP of Human Resources in European HR initiatives, including performance management, training and engagement
  • Oversee employee lifecycle activities for the Amsterdam office
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing HR team
  • Work with our pan-European HR team to create processes and programmes that enable our employees and help us build a successful International company
  • Counsel managers and employees on topics such as employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation & benefits, and HR policy
  • Support a culture of continuous feedback, providing ER advice and supporting performance management processes
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects our company values
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes

Job requirements

  • A degree in human resources, business administration, social sciences or a comparable qualification

  • At least 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Junior HR Manager, together with previous HR generalist experience

  • Proven ability to lead and coach HR team members to success

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English

  • Experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multicultural, distributed organisation

  • Ability to build relationships and positively influence at all levels

  • Good judgement and ability to articulate sound evidence-based reasoning for recommendations

  • Able to handle difficult conversations, navigate disagreements and maintain neutrality in conflict situations

  • Comfortable with technology and software

  • Dutch working council experience preferred

What is our working model?

You need to based in one of our office locations or be willing to relocate to one of them.

We have a hybrid-work model, which means that it’s up to you whether you prefer to work onsite or feel more comfortable working from home. What does an interviewing process generally look like?

Our interviewing processes can differ slightly depending on the department. The three steps that are consistent for every vacancy are a talk with the hiring manager at the beginning, a team interview in the middle, and an elevator interview at a later phase of the process.
