  • Partner with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders to streamline operations and resolve issues

  • Serve as the go-to contact for payroll questions from employees, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring clear and accurate communication

  • Maintain and improve payroll-related systems, processes, and controls

  • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for Finance and HR teams

  • Support audits and implement recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with HR to ensure data accuracy and alignment with employee lifecycle events (e.g. onboarding, promotions, terminations)

Job requirements

  • 7-10 years proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations across European jurisdictions

  • Experience managing the payroll implications of equity awards across multiple jurisdictions, including taxation, withholding, and reporting obligations

  • Strong knowledge of European and Canadian labor law and statutory requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with external payroll providers across multiple countries

  • Outstanding customer service skills with a sense of urgency

  • Proficient in international HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Personio, UKG/Immedis, ADP, SAP, or similar)

  • Must be self-driven and able to work autonomously

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions

What does an interviewing process generally look like?

Our interviewing processes can differ slightly depending on the department. The best way to prepare for an elevator interview is to go over our values.
