Hi from the Instapro Group 👋🏼

We're the technology company behind a home services revolution. Our mission is to help tradespeople get the work they want and homeowners hire the tradespeople they need.

At Instapro, every team member’s perspective and experience advances our mission. We are committed to creating a workplace that reflects the communities we serve. We work hard to mitigate biases in our recruitment process and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Job description

As a Senior Product Manager within one of our customer-facing teams, you’ll lead a cross-functional team focused on a critical part of the customer journey in our two-sided marketplace. Whether serving homeowners or tradespeople, your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, engagement, and long-term value.

You’ll be responsible for defining and owning the vision and roadmap for your team. This includes identifying opportunities, supporting the shaping of strategic direction, and delivering product solutions that drive measurable business results. Your cross-functional team includes engineers, a UX designer, and is supported by a product analyst and UX researchers. You’ll also collaborate closely with colleagues in marketing, operations, sales, and customer service to ensure end-to-end alignment and execution.

You’ll join an agile, international organisation of 20+ product teams working together, across timezones, toward a shared mission to build a reliable marketplace where tradespeople find quality jobs and homeowners hire quality tradespeople.

Your role includes the following:

  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap of your team, aligning with business goals and customer needs

  • Drive key product outcomes, improving engagement, retention, and customer value across the user journey

  • Identify and prioritise product opportunities through a combination of user insights, data analysis, stakeholder input, and market research

  • Translate customer problems and business opportunities into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories

  • Partner with engineering, design, research, and analytics to deliver and iterate on impactful product experiences

  • Promote cross-functional alignment by building strong relationships with teams such as marketing, customer support, and other teams across the organisation

  • Champion a culture of data-informed decision making, running A/B tests and using product analytics to measure impact and guide improvements

  • Proactively manage product quality, helping triage issues, prioritise fixes, and ensure a consistent user experience

  • Build business cases and evaluate trade-offs to support effective prioritisation and resourcing decisions

Job requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as Product Manager in a customer-facing product team

  • A passion for solving real customer problems with simple, scalable solutions

  • Proven experience turning business needs into valuable product outcomes, ideally in a B2C, B2B2C, or marketplace environment

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using data, experimentation (A/B tests), and research to inform decisions

  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple, compelling way

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities in a distributed, hybrid, asynchronous-first environment

  • Experience working with agile product teams and lean product development methods

  • Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Looker, or similar is a plus

  • Experience in home services, marketplaces, or driving customer engagement and retention at scale is highly valued

What does an interviewing process generally look like?

Our interviewing processes can differ slightly depending on the department. The three steps that are consistent for every vacancy are a talk with the hiring manager at the beginning, a team interview in the middle, and an elevator interview at a later phase of the process. The best way to prepare for an elevator interview is to go over our values.
