Job description

As a Translation and Localisation Manager at the Instapro Group, you will lead and coordinate the translation and localisation of our digital experience.

Reporting to the Content Design Manager, you will work collaboratively across Product, Design, Engineering and other teams to ensure our product, communications and customer service experience is efficiently translated and localised for all the markets we serve - from Europe to North America.

You will also be responsible for leading the translation of our product to support the expansion of our business into new markets. As well as identifying improvements to our overall processes, teams and systems to help us scale effectively.


Your role includes the following:

  • Coordinate and manage all translation requests from our cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, localised content for delivery

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Marketing, Customer Service and CRM to ensure translation is effective across all customer touchpoints

  • Support new market expansion by leading the translation and localisation of all content types in line with programme delivery

  • Manage and develop our growing community of translators (incl. freelance contributors), ensuring delivery is timely, high quality and within budget

  • As part of the Content Design team, develop and maintain controlled vocabularies and terminology sets to ensure effective localisation of our product content across markets

  • Identify improvements to our translation and localisation processes and systems, continuously optimising for efficiency, scalability and quality across all content types

  • Act as a key point of contact for all translation queries from across the Instapro Group

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing or coordinating translation/localisation, ideally within a product environment

  • Strong understanding of translation processes, tools and systems, including Translation Management Software (TMS)

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, able to balance multiple timelines and requirements at a time

  • Skilled communicator, experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams (ideally, Product, Technology and UX)

  • Experience in managing and developing a community or network of freelance translation contributors

  • Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in another European language would be beneficial

  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills

  • A proven self-starter, confident working independently where necessary, as well as within a collaborative, team environment
